Every time I drive Mako (it's reason why ME1 is awesome too) I imagine my squad scream of horror. I think I WOULD be good driver, I just dont want to drive like it. Messing around with it (driving up mountains, trying to get it stuck (= hard) trolling geth colossies etc.) is way too fun.
And when I get back to Normandy, Joker would be all "Lul Shepard, you sure know how to make Mako dance"
There were times when I drove the Mako to the point where I thought I was going to break it. I'd land, a wheel went red, and I questioned how landing on the roof damaged the front driver side wheel. And the times where, I managed to drive the Mako over a jump, and landed flat on top a Rachni, or a Geth Sniper... Good times... Thresher Maws still sucked though. Pop up under me when it's a hair away from death and one-shot me. Bosh'tets, all of 'em.
I have learned that the best strategy for fighting anything is to hit the "fly upwards" button to avoid being shot while shooting the enemy in front of you. Much easier to aim and fire. I've killed thresher maws with this technique without ever being struck by it.
